North Hennepin Community College –
Biosciences and Health Careers Center
The North Hennepin Community College Bioscience & Health Careers Center (BHCC) is a 62,000 square foot facility designed to co-locate nursing and bioscience classrooms, labs and faculty spaces and connect the existing campus to the evolving community. From the beginning, this project focused on the reinvention of identity, culture, collaboration and living laboratory concepts that come through in the final design. This cutting-edge facility incorporates new telepresence technology and video capture classrooms that inaugurate a new direction for international growth and support of learning communities across the globe. BHCC meets the Architecture 2030 Challenge by reducing energy 60% below the baseline standard and meets Minnesota's B3 sustainable guidelines.
