Membership Scholarship Application
IIDA Northland is proud to support individuals in the interior design community through our Membership Scholarship Program. This initiative helps cover membership dues for new or renewing members who may be facing financial challenges.
By investing in our members, we ensure that more voices can contribute to the growth, leadership, and creativity of our chapter.
How it Works
Scholarship applications are reviewed on a case-by-case basis by the Board of Directors. Recipients are expected to actively participate in IIDA Northland during their scholarship year – through committee work, program attendance, or other contributions to our chapter’s success.
Please note: All personal information submitted will remain private and will only be shared with board members directly involved in the review process.

Eligability
Open to individuals in the interior design industry experiencing financial hardship
Applicants do not need to be current or past IIDA members
Requirements
Membership type and fee amount requested (review IIDA HQ for current rates)
A brief (up to one page) description of your motivation to apply and how you plan to engage with IIDA Northland
A letter of recommendation from a current IIDA member
Evaluation Criteria
Applications will be evaluated based on:
Past involvement with IIDA Northland (priority given to volunteers and members in good standing)
Strength of the recommendation letter from a current IIDA member
Demonstrated commitment to active participation during the scholarship year
Alignment between requested membership type and fee structure
Names will be removed from applications during review to ensure fairness.
