Committees
Joining a committee is one of the best ways to get involved, build your network, and make a direct impact on our chapter. We’ve organized our committees into several key areas:
Advocacy
Promotes and advances the profession of commercial interior design at both the local and national level, educating members and the public about the value of design.
Communications
Oversees chapter communications, including the website, social media, event promotions, newsletters, blog posts, and all external marketing efforts.
Signature Events
Supports the planning and execution of our chapter’s signature events, including: ID Awards, Minnecon, Fusion. From venue coordination to sponsorship opportunities, these committees make our biggest events successful.
Professional Development
Plans CEU events, offering members access to education, training, and thought leadership. Tasks include selecting presenters, organizing logistics, and ensuring smooth event delivery.
Membership
Focused on enhancing the member experience. This committee manages member appreciation, helps connect members with resources, coordinates volunteer engagement, and fosters a welcoming community.
Emerging Professionals
Leads outreach to design schools, supports student and young professional growth through mentorship programs and career building activities. Programs include Mentorship Program, Career Building Day, SPARK, and support of SHIFT.
Impact Partnership
Focused on the partnership between our chapter and our sponsors, both annual and event sponsors. Creates the sponsorship menu of benefits, collaborates with our partners to gain insight and feedback, and coordinates sponsorship benefits for events.
