Student Scholarship Application for SHIFT Conference

2026 SHIFT Conference in Dallas, TX

IIDA Northland aims to enable and empower the future designers of the Northland Chapter with programming and opportunities to lead, inspire, grow and unite at the IIDA Shift Conference in Dallas, Texas on February 11 – 13, 2026. This grant gives current student members an opportunity to think critically about interior design in an ever-changing world. A grant of up to $1500 will be offered to each student to cover conference registration, travel, hotel, and food.

Specifications

  1. Open to all 2025-2026 IIDA Student Members who are a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior.
  2. Provide answers to Application.
  3.  Share experience through presentation to IIDA Members, Board, and Sponsors with other SHIFT attendees following the event. (Prepare photos and discuss experience.)

 

Application Process:

  • Applications are due by January 16th, 2026
  • The IIDA Northland Chapter Board will review all applications
  • Grant recipient(s) will be notified by January 21st, 2026.

Mentorship Program

The Mentorship Program is designed to help students and young professionals build strong professional connections, gain industry knowledge, and grow their confidence as emerging designers. Through small-group conversations, professional panels, and skill-building sessions like mock interviews and portfolio reviews, participants can take the first steps in shaping their career path.

Ignite Your Creativity.
SPARK is a collaborative design experience where students team up to solve a creative design challenge. It’s an opportunity to share ideas, experiment, and learn in a fun, fast-paced setting that builds both confidence and connections. Whether sketching concepts, presenting solutions, or working with a partner, SPARK encourages you to explore your creativity while gaining valuable hands-on experience.
